In 1985 MARMARA was founded by two brothers of a family which had business activities in soap and oil industries.

While producing limited sorts of detergents for industrial & institutional purposes, the contract with a German company for producing cleaners for dishwashing machine as one of the first major brands in Turkey has launched the idea of private label manufacturing in 1987. This has been followed by many other local as well as foreign companies after 1991 main advantage of MARMARA has been the ability to produce almost all known household, I & I, hygiene and disinfectant cleaners and major kinds of cosmetics under one roof. This gives MARMARA a distinctive advantage as “ one stop shopping “ for its customers as cleaners and cosmetics have been tremendously diversified throughout the years.
